Blackbaud User Groups provide a forum for users to share best practices and success stories, learn new tips and techniques, and collaborate with other users and Blackbaud experts.

User Groups are a free event where we encourage people to network and connect with their nonprofit peers and hear how they are using Blackbaud products and services to impact their mission. It’s a great opportunity for you to make new contacts and build relationships that extend well beyond the event.

Typical Agenda

8:30 – 9:00	Registration; Coffee & Tea Networking
9:00 – 9:15	Welcome & Blackbaud Introductions
9:15 – 9:30	Customer Success Story or External Presenter
9:30 – 10:30	Blackbaud Presentation When you register for our User Group, you get to vote on the presentation topic that you are most interested in! We want the event to be meaningful to you and the Blackbaud led presentation is a great place to start.
10:30 – 10:45	Break
10:45 – 11:15	Ask Your Fellow Experts We love the thoughtful discussions in this session! It allows you to ask other users in attendance as well as Blackbaud representatives strategy and best practice recommendations – things like “what is the best way to…", “is there a quick way to…”, "how does your organization..." We ask that you refrain from asking detailed questions specific to your database/instance, support questions, or questions that would require a computer. We welcome the opportunity to address any of those questions in our optional Q&A session at the end of the event.
11:15 – 12:15	Breakout Groups – by organizational type or job role These breakout groups give Users an opportunity to collaborate and share best practices and “aha solutions” with Users from similar organizations or in similar roles. Please note that a Blackbaud representative may not sit at each group for the entire session. However, they will circulate among all groups and join in the discussion before moving to the next group.
12:15 – 1:00	Networking Lunch (sponsored by Blackbaud)
1:00 – 1:15	Blackbaud News Update This session provides Users with important Blackbaud News and any potential product updates.
1:15 – 2:15	Breakout groups – by topic We ask each of you to vote on the topic you prefer to discuss and submit any specific discussion points for that breakout group at the time of registration. We’ll compile the top questions as well as provide some other popular discussion topics. Some example Raisers Edge breakout groups by topic include: Internet Strategy and eMarketing, Queries, Reports, & Profiles, Importing, Database Cleanup & Data Management.
2:15 – 2:30	Conclusion
2:30 – 3:00	Q&A (optional) You can approach any Blackbaud representative to inquire about new products, “how to’s”, etc.

Share Your Space. Become a Host!

Thank you for your interest in hosting a User Group! We welcome the opportunity to work with your organization.

Hosting a User Group allows you to showcase your organization and its mission to other nonprofits in your local community. To show our appreciation for the use of your space, as well as your assistance with planning the User Group, your organization will receive a $300 credit on your Blackbaud account to be used on future Blackbaud purchases.

Please use the following checklist to determine whether your facility meets the hosting requirements:

Space Planning:

• Do you have one large area that can comfortable accommodate at least 75 seated attendees?
• Can this area accommodate a screen for the presentation or does this area have a large blank wall to project onto?
• Do you have a minimum of 2 separate breakout rooms that could accommodate at least 20 people each?
• Do you have an area that could be used for registration, including a registration table?
• Do you have handicap accessibility?

Catering:

• Blackbaud will provide coffee, tea, and water at Registration, as well as lunch for all attendees. Does your facility have an on-site catering service or a preferred caterer you could recommend for us to work with?

A/V and Internet:

• Does your facility have a projector? If not, Blackbaud can provide one.
• Do you have Wi-Fi?

Parking

• Does your facility have on-site or nearby parking for at least 75 people?
